Who you are dealing with

LyriSync is a trading name of Toby Johnson, operating from the United Kingdom. The business address is being added. You can reach us by email using the contact link at the foot of every page.

1. What LyriSync does

LyriSync takes an audio file you upload and lyrics you supply, and returns timing data: a start and end time for each word and each line, exported as SRT, JSON or similar formats. It separates the vocal from the rest of the mix in order to do this.

LyriSync does not transcribe your audio and does not supply lyrics. It never has, and never will, host or distribute a lyrics database. You bring the words, we return the timings.

2. Your content and your rights to it

You keep all rights in the audio and lyrics you upload. We claim no ownership of them.

You confirm that you own the audio you upload or otherwise have the right to upload, process and licence it as set out below, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's copyright or other rights. You are responsible for how you use the timing data we return, including in any video or other work you publish.

You grant us a limited licence to store and process your uploaded audio, and any corrections you make to its timing, for the purposes and time periods our Privacy Policy sets out, including using them, for five days after processing, to measure and improve the accuracy of the aligner. That licence ends when the audio is deleted. We do not share your files with anyone except the infrastructure providers listed in our Privacy Policy, who process them on our instructions in order to run the service.

3. Accuracy, and what to expect

LyriSync is an automated alignment tool. It is accurate on most material and it is not accurate on all material. We tell you before your first sync what affects the result, and that guidance is part of these terms.

In particular, and without limiting the disclaimer in section 8:

• The service times the words you give it. Lyrics that do not match what is sung, whether through missing lines, extra lines, wrong words or the wrong version of a track, will produce timings that are wrong, and that is not a fault in the service.
• Audio in which the vocal is hard to make out, because of heavy processing, a dense or distorted mix, several voices at once, or unusual delivery, will produce less accurate timings.
• Content at the start of a track that you have not included in your lyrics, such as a producer tag, an ad-lib or a spoken intro, will affect where the opening words are placed.
• Five languages are supported: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. You choose the language when you upload, and it decides how the words are pronounced for alignment, so the wrong choice will produce wrong timings. Italian has had less testing than the other four. Lyrics in any other language, or in a script other than the Latin alphabet, are not supported.
• You should expect to review the result and make some adjustments. The editor exists for that purpose and is part of the product, not a workaround.

We do not warrant that any particular result will meet your expectations, be free of errors, or be usable without correction.

4. Processing, balances and billing

Each song can be aligned as a private preview before you pay, and exporting it uses one song credit. A song can be up to ten minutes long; a longer track can only be processed with existing minutes, up to twenty minutes. You see the cost and confirm it before any credit is used. LyriSync does not charge automatic overages.

The one-off options are 1 song credit for USD 3, or 10 credits for USD 12. Studio costs USD 15 per month and adds 20 credits each paid period. Studio also includes batch processing of up to 20 songs at a time; a song in a batch is not previewed first, and uses one credit when it starts. If you have no credits left when you export, you can top up with one-off credits at that point; LyriSync does not charge automatic overages.

Existing free, purchased, promotional and referral minutes, including any signup grant already issued, remain in their original minute balance and can still pay for full tracks when there are enough minutes. Minutes and song credits are separate units. Completed results and exports already available to your account remain accessible; pricing changes do not lock them.

Existing monthly minute subscriptions keep their agreed price and allowance. They renew until cancelled; monthly minutes expire at the end of the paid period and do not roll over. Cancel from Billing, then Manage subscription. A failed payment adds no minutes. When a payment is refunded, its remaining allowance is withdrawn; while a dispute is unresolved, that period’s remaining allowance is suspended. A failed refund or dispute resolved in our favour restores it with its original expiry.

Signup grants are limited to one per account and may change for future accounts. Referral minutes already granted stay in your existing minute balance. The invite programme closed on 26 October 2026, and invite links no longer give minutes. If a friend redeemed your invite before then, you still get 10 minutes once they complete their first track of at least one minute, up to 10 friends.

Every song you upload can first be aligned as a private preview of the whole song. It opens the full alignment in the editor with the original mix, so you can play, check and adjust the timings; it does not provide subtitle files, exports or vocal stems. Before you confirm an export, LyriSync shows the credit cost for the track; no credits are used by opening, playing or editing the preview. Unlocking saves the alignment to Your tracks and makes it available for export without running alignment again. The uploaded audio and private preview alignment are kept for 5 days after processing, then deleted automatically. Saved full results remain in Your tracks until you delete them. Previews are for checking songs you intend to use. To keep the service available for everyone, LyriSync may pause new previews for a time on an account that runs an unusually large number in a short period. Exports, unlocking a preview you already have, and processing paid for with credits or minutes are not affected.

Purchased song credits do not expire. Existing song-credit subscriptions keep their agreed price and allowance, including earlier Creator plans. They renew automatically until cancelled. Unused monthly credits roll over once, up to the subscription’s monthly allowance, into the next paid period and expire at that period’s end. On cancellation, monthly credits expire at the end of the period already paid for. Cancel renewal from Billing. These terms continue to apply if new song-credit offers are not advertised.

Where you are a consumer, nothing in this section removes your statutory rights. You can contact contact@lyrisync.com within 14 days of a purchase to cancel and request a refund for unused paid balance. Any charge for work already supplied will be assessed in accordance with applicable law. Using a preview does not waive your cancellation rights or your rights if the paid result is faulty.

If processing fails, the minutes or credits return to their source balance with their original terms. Where LyriSync detects that it mishandled the opening of a track, you can re-align it once at no cost. Balances granted without payment are not refundable in money.

Refunds, failed jobs and previews

When a preview is available, please review the whole song before unlocking it. LyriSync provides editable timings and manual corrections may be needed. We do not normally offer refunds solely for minor timing adjustments or an issue clearly visible in the preview you reviewed. If the paid result has a significant fault, contact contact@lyrisync.com so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use LyriSync to:

• process audio you do not have the right to process, or use the output in a way that infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to reconstruct, extract or redistribute any part of the service, its models or its outputs beyond your own use of the timing data and any separated audio we return to you, which you may use only in works you have the right to make;
• open or use more than one account, for example with several email addresses, to collect free minutes more than once;
• use a VPN, proxy or other service that hides or changes your connection to get free minutes, or to get round a limit or block we have placed on an account or connection;
• let a bot, script, AI agent or AI assistant create accounts, sign in, claim free minutes or submit tracks, other than as a tool you are personally operating for your own account and your own work, through the normal interface, as a person would;
• circumvent credit metering, share account access, or automate submissions in a way that is not through the normal interface;
• scrape or bulk download the signed-in app, its API or anyone's outputs, probe the service for weaknesses, or overload it;
• upload material that is unlawful, or that you have been told to stop processing.

Free minutes are for one person trying LyriSync, once. We monitor sign-ups and the use of free minutes, including the IP address they come from, to spot several accounts being used to collect free minutes. Free minutes cannot be used from a known VPN connection. Accounts we find breaking this section may be suspended or closed, and the free minutes they gained removed. You are responsible for anything done through your account, including by any tool or agent you let use it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where we do so without cause, we will refund unused credits.

6. If a result looks wrong

Contact us. Keep the exact audio file and the exact lyrics you used, because we will normally need both in order to look at what happened. Without them there is very little we can tell you, and we may not be able to investigate at all. We keep your audio for five days after processing, as described in our Privacy Policy, so we may still hold a copy within that window; after it is deleted we will ask you to send the file again.

7. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service. We will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces what you have already paid for, and will refund unused credits if we withdraw the service entirely.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, conditions and terms implied by statute or common law, and we make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error free, or that any result will be accurate, complete, reliable or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss, however arising. Our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty pounds sterling.

If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you, and where it affects how your work is processed we will ask you to acknowledge it before your next job. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
