The workflow

From finished track to timed lyrics

01

Upload the finished mix

No vocal stem is required. LyriSync separates the vocal before matching it against your lyric sheet.

02

Align and review every word

Play the mix or isolated vocal, zoom into fast lines and move the timing boundaries that need correction.

03

Export for the karaoke player

Choose ASS for progressive fills, enhanced LRC for compatible lyric apps, or WebVTT for native web karaoke cues.

Karaoke timing is more than line timestamps

A line appearing at the right moment is ordinary subtitle timing. Karaoke needs the progress inside that line. LyriSync keeps a start and end for every word, which gives an export format enough information to move a highlight with the vocal.

You can still export line or phrase timing from the same job. The detailed alignment is preserved, so changing destination does not mean paying to process the track again.

Choose the format your player understands

ASS is the strongest choice for conventional karaoke video. Its timing tags describe how long each word or syllable fills. Enhanced LRC is compact and works in compatible music and lyric apps. WebVTT supports inline timestamps for karaoke on the web.

If you only need static subtitle cues, use the SRT lyrics generator. SRT has broad support, but no standard progressive fill.

Timing first, visual design second

LyriSync generates timing data, not a finished karaoke video. Fonts, colours, backgrounds and motion belong in the player or editor that reads the export. That separation keeps the words editable and lets one timing pass feed several visual styles.

For custom motion graphics, LyriSync can also send word-timed layers into After Effects.

Common questions

Which export format is best for karaoke?

ASS is usually the best choice for a progressive fill in karaoke software and rendered video. Enhanced LRC suits compatible lyric players, while WebVTT is useful on the web.

Does LyriSync create the finished karaoke video?

No. It creates and edits the timing, then exports it. Styling and rendering happen in your karaoke player, subtitle renderer or video editor.

Can I use a finished song instead of a vocal stem?

Yes. Vocal separation is part of the alignment process, so you can upload the finished mix and review the isolated vocal inside the editor.
